Working Fire Quickly Controlled at Midrocks Drive Home

Norwalk, CT - The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a second residential structure fire on Midrocks Drive while crews were still operating at another incident, requiring a coordinated response with available units and mutual aid support.


Upon arrival, firefighters encountered fire showing from the first floor with heavy smoke throughout a two-and-a-half-story single-family home. A working fire was declared, and additional resources were assigned as they became available.


Firefighters brought the incident under control through coordinated interior operations. The response included Norwalk personnel along with an engine company from the New Canaan Fire Department. Norwalk Hospital EMS and the Norwalk Police Department assisted on scene, while the Rowayton Fire Department provided station coverage.


No civilian injuries were reported. One firefighter sustained a minor hand injury and was transported for evaluation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Norwalk Fire Marshal’s Office
