Mastic NY- On Friday July 31, 2020 at about 6:30PM the Mastic Fire Department was called to a motor vehicle crash on Moriches avenue. Chief Rudy Sunderman was first on scene and advised he had a 2 car MVA, no one was trapped but he did have fluids on the ground. 5-12-80 arrived on scene and secured the scene by closing off the road at Roberts st. Engine 5-12-1 and 5-12-3 were also assigned to the job and the crews secured 2 vehicles and cleaned up the fluids and debris.
Multiple patients were evaluated by crews from Mastic and Shirley Ambulance companies. At least 2 people was taken to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All units with the exception of the ambulance were back in service in less then 40 minutes.
