Multi-Agency Crews Responded to Hamburg Road Collision

Old Lyme, CT. — July 20 — Near 170 Hamburg Road on Route 156, the Old Lyme Fire Department, located at 69 Lyme Street, responded to a significant two-vehicle collision. In order to treat patients, protect the area, and control traffic, firefighters collaborated with Lyme Fire Company, Lyme Ambulance Association, Connecticut State Police Troop F, and LIFE STAR. One patient with non-life-threatening injuries was transferred by ground ambulance, while another was flown to Hartford Hospital.


While workers removed debris and investigators recorded the collision, Hamburg Road was closed for many hours. Connecticut State Police encouraged anyone with information to get in touch with Troop F as they conducted their investigation into the crash.
