Atwood Hose Fire Company Assists at Second-Alarm Structure Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

At 6:43 a.m. on July 27, the Atwood Hose Fire Company responded to a structure fire on Hawkins Street as part of a first-alarm assignment.

While the crew from ET196 helped with fire suppression and overhaul operations, HT196 set up a hydrant supply line to serve Tower 161 upon arrival. In order to bring more resources to the area, a second alert was sought as the situation worsened.

Before being allowed to leave the area, firefighters stayed until about 8:50 a.m.
