Falmouth, MA. — July 6 — When firefighters from Falmouth Fire/Rescue, 399 Main St. (HQ), arrived to a utility building fire off Brick Kiln Road, they promptly put out the fire and stopped it from spreading to many nearby buildings. In order to ensure that the fire had not spread beyond the original structure, crews laid hose lines, finished fire control efforts, and inspected other buildings.

Their well-coordinated action reduced property damage and safeguarded nearby exposures. Early suppression measures are crucial because utility building fires can spread quickly when they are close to other buildings. In order to safeguard the Falmouth neighborhood, the incident showed the department's ongoing readiness and efficient fireground operations.
