PORTSMOUTH, NH - Five residents have been displaced from a condominium building following a car fire that spread to the building, leaving their homes uninhabitable. Portsmouth fire dispatched a Box to a car fire extended to the structure at 72 Woodbury Avenue at 2:14 P.M. on August 3rd. First due Engine 1 reported an auto fully involved next to the structure. After a quick assessment, it was discovered the fire had extended into the building and a working fire and 1st Alarm assignment was called for. Companies stretched multiple hand lines inside the structure, making a quick knock down and opening up walls inside the building. No injuries were reported and the fire was placed under control by 2:54 P.M.
