Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries Shuts Down State Route 32 in Plattekill

PLATTEKILL, NY – Plattekill FD responded to a multi-vehicle MVA involving injuries on State Route 32 near Our Lady of Fatima Church on August 3rd. Firefighters assisted the injured parties and spread Speedy Dry on fluids on the roadway. Town/Plattekill-Ulster County Sheriff and New York State Police were also on scene, along with New Paltz and Town/Newburgh EMS. Two subjects were transported to Montefiore-St. Luke’s Hospital. State Route 32 was closed between Plattekill School and Rainbow Drive. Cronomer Valley Fire Police directed traffic at Rainbow Drive during the incident. Ulster County Deputy Fire Coordinator 56-4 was also on scene. Town/Plattekill Police are investigating the cause.
