Crystal River, FL - The Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on South Easy Street in Lecanto.

First-arriving crews found a single-wide mobile home approximately 75 percent involved and immediately initiated suppression efforts. Due to the extent of the fire and hazardous conditions, firefighters transitioned to a defensive attack while continuing to place water on the fire.

Once the fire was brought under control, crews conducted primary and secondary searches, confirming no occupants were inside. The structure sustained extensive damage and was deemed a total loss.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
