ROCHESTER, NY - Rochester firefighters responded on Thursday night, July 31, 2025 to Lyell Ave. at Dewey Ave. for smoke coming from the building. Engine 5 arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing. Soon after, the building became fully involved and started to collapse. Command requested a 5th alarm with a collapse zone to be set up around the building. This was an exterior attack fire. There were no injuries reported.
