Avera, GA - The Avera Fire & Rescue and Louisville Fire Department responded to a reported tractor and hay baler fire along Highway 171 North.

Upon arrival, firefighters found both the tractor and hay baler fully involved, with fire extending into a nearby brush area and beginning to impact the adjacent wood line. Crews quickly initiated suppression efforts to contain the fire and limit further spread.

Engine 22 from Louisville established a water supply for Engine 3, while additional support from Tanker 3 ensured a sustained firefighting operation. Through coordinated efforts and an aggressive attack, crews successfully contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further extension into surrounding wooded areas. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
