Allamuchy, N.J. — July 9 — The Allamuchy Fire Department was called to a car fire at the picturesque overlook on Interstate 80 heading east. When Engine 91-61, Tender 91-71, and Chief 91 arrived, they secured the area for oncoming traffic while putting out the fire. Before leaving the scene, crews made sure the car no longer presented a risk and looked for any hot spots.

As responders cooperated with law enforcement and transportation officials during firefighting operations, traffic halted. Firefighters in Allamuchy Township and the neighboring Warren County area frequently dealt with automobile fires, collisions, and other traffic incidents along Interstate 80, which continued to be a busy response corridor for the department.
