On July 9, the Ludwigs Corner Fire Company and ambulance teams from Uwchlan and Minquas responded to a car accident with entrapment near the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Milford Road.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered the driver stuck inside an SUV that was upside down against a utility pole. After stabilizing the car and removing the windshield to make room for emergency medical professionals, the crew extricated the driver via the rear hatch. Pottstown Pike was closed by fire police as emergency personnel worked; approximately one hour and fifteen minutes after dispatch, the route was reopened.
After being hurt, the motorist was taken to EMS for medical attention.
