Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in the 70 block of A Street in Brooksville, where crews arrived to find smoke showing from the front of the home. All occupants had evacuated prior to arrival.

Firefighters conducted an interior investigation and located a fire involving a ceiling exhaust fan. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, preventing extension to other areas of the residence.

Four occupants were displaced as a result of the incident and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
