Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the intersection of Malvern Street and Hickman Avenue involving both brush and a vehicle.

Upon arrival, crews found a truck and trailer fully involved, with nearby grass and brush fire extending across a small area. Firefighters quickly initiated suppression efforts, attacking both the vehicle fire and surrounding vegetation to stop further spread.

Through rapid and coordinated operations, crews contained the fire to the involved vehicle and limited vegetation, preventing damage to nearby properties and structures. No injuries were reported, and the cause was determined to be an out-of-control burn pit that did not meet proper setback requirements.
