Multiple Agencies Responded to Route 202 Incident

Berwyn, PA. — July 3 — At a tractor-trailer collision on Route 202 South close to mile marker 19.8 in Tredyffrin Township, Department Berwyn Fire Company, 23 Bridge Ave., helped Paoli Fire Company. In addition to the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Haz-Mat Team, PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, firefighters collaborated with teams from East Whiteland, Malvern, and Goshen fire departments.


Support staff working in intense heat were also assisted by the Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute Rehab Unit. Before units were put back into duty, the coordinated response concentrated on traffic control, danger mitigation, scene safety, and firefighter rehabilitation.
