This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Avondale, PA. — July 3 — As part of the third-alarm assignment to Box 1710, Department Avondale Fire Company sent Engine 23 to assist Five Points Fire Company at a working structure fire. Under the incident command system, firefighters collaborated with mutual assistance units on overhaul, suppression, and other operational tasks. As operations continued, the extra alarm guaranteed sufficient personnel, equipment, and fireman relief.

These kinds of mutual aid actions continue to play a significant role in Chester County's emergency operations, enabling nearby departments to pool manpower and resources during more serious situations. Engine 23 cleared the area after finishing its tasks and went back into service, prepared to take on more calls.
