Brooksville, Fl - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on U.S. 19 north of State Road 50, where Engine 12 arrived to find an SUV with an active engine compartment fire. Crews quickly deployed a handline and initiated suppression efforts.

Firefighters worked efficiently to bring the fire under control, preventing extension into the passenger compartment and limiting overall damage to the vehicle.
