MUNHALL, Pa. — June 29 — A second-alarm commercial building fire at the Best of the Batch Foundation on West Street prompted the Munhall Central Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Inc., located at 1900 West St. Along with Munhall fire companies and nearby mutual assistance departments, eight department personnel helped with fire suppression, overhaul, and support operations.

Before firefighters arrived, every resident had safely left the building, and there were no reports of civilian injuries. Before going back into service, Engine 201 stayed on the scene for around three and a half hours. While firefighters worked at the prolonged incident, Vigilant Hose Company No. 1 of Port Vue supplied standby coverage, guaranteeing continuous emergency response.
