MUNHALL, PA. — June 29 — A commercial building fire in the 2000 block of West Street was responded to by Munhall Volunteer Fire Company #4, 3401 Main St. Within four minutes of being dispatched, Engine 203, manned by the department's duty crew, discovered an external fire that had spread inside the building. Hose lines were swiftly used by firefighters to contain the fire and stop it from spreading farther into the structure.

Other mutual aid organizations helped with scene support, overhaul, and suppression. There were no reported injuries. During commercial fire occurrences in the community, the reaction demonstrated the need of prompt arrival, coordinated activities, and mutual aid.
