At 8:02 am on Saturday, 7/26/25 the Mortlake, East Brooklyn & Atwood Hose Fire Departments with Canterbury Engine 193, Central Village & Moosup FAST were dispatched to 12 Franklin Drive for a house fire.
Ambulance 590 arrived at 8:08 with smoke showing. Engine 190 arrived next and stretched a hose line. Crews reported they found a dog in the basement and quickly knocked the fire. The Brooklyn Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
