Firefighters Rescue Man Pinned By Subway Train In Pikesville

At 7pm Thursday night July 22nd, career and volunteer Baltimore County fire units were assigned for a reported man that was trapped between a Metro Subway train car and the platform at the Milford Mill Metro station (Rescue Box 2-22) in the 4400 block of Milford Mill Road. First-arriving Baltimore County Fire Department Engine 2 confirmed the entrapment and requested the crew from Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Heavy rescue Squad 322 to bring specialized technical rescue equipment including airbags, cribbing and spreaders, up to the scene. Firefighters from BCoFD Engine 2 & Truck 18 and Pikesville VFC were able to rapidly free the victim, who was transported via BCoFD Medic 19 to Sinai Hospital's trauma unit.
