Savannah, GA - The Savannah Fire Department responded to a gas leak involving a damaged 2-inch gas line at the intersection of Barnard Street and West Gaston Street.
Fire crews secured the area and coordinated evacuations while monitoring nearby residences for safety. The leak was successfully repaired by the Atlanta Gas Light, and firefighters ensured all affected buildings were safe for re-entry.
Following the incident, the scene was turned over to utility crews and contractors. Traffic in the area remained restricted as final operations were completed.
