At 12:36 pm, Thursday, 7/16/26, Engine 1, Squad A, Truck 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 79 Wawecus Street for a car into the building. Engine 1 arrived to find a pickup truck had struck the building causing moderate damage. The operator was transported to the hospital by American Ambulance. Norwich Public Utilities and the Building Official assessed the structure.
