Shelton, NY - The Shelton Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire in the area of the Big Y Supermarket, with multiple companies assigned to the incident.

Upon arrival, crews found a pickup truck heavily involved in fire on the shoulder of the roadway. Firefighters deployed a handline and initiated an aggressive attack, bringing the fire under control and preventing further hazards.

The vehicle’s operator exited safely prior to arrival and was not injured. Crews completed extinguishment and ensured the scene was secure before clearing the incident.
