Marine Unit Supports Brush Fire Response in Preserve Area

Weston, CT - The Weston Volunteer Fire Department responded on mutual aid to a brush fire within the Trout Brook Valley Preserve, where access challenges required the use of a marine unit to transport personnel and equipment to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews encountered a brush fire covering an estimated 20-by-30-foot area. Firefighters deployed portable pumps and initiated suppression operations, working alongside the Easton Fire Department to bring the fire under control.

Personnel remained on scene to complete extensive overhaul and ensure all hot spots were extinguished. Multiple Weston units and firefighters operated at the incident before all resources returned to service.
