Firefighters responded to an RV fire on East Edward Street in Endicott, New York, where flames spread from a camper to a nearby single-family home.
The Endicott Fire Department was the initial responding department. First-arriving crews encountered the camper heavily involved in fire, with flames extending into the neighboring residence. As conditions developed, a second alarm was requested for additional personnel and mutual-aid resources.
Firefighters encountered several hazards during the response, including a compromised electrical service and propane cylinders venting from the burning camper. Crews attacked the RV fire while other firefighters searched the residence and worked to stop the flames from spreading farther into the home.
All occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. During a search of the residence, firefighters located and safely removed a pet.
Crews brought the fire under control and remained at the scene for overhaul and to check for hidden fire. No injuries were reported.
