On July 13, the Bloomfield Center Fire Department joined Task Force 52 to help the Enfield Fire Department with a working building fire.

Following their staging at Enfield Square Mall, Bloomfield firemen were designated as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), ready to help any firefighters injured or trapped during operations. Crews were on standby until the situation was resolved because their services were not required.

After assisting with the regional mutual assistance response, Bloomfield firefighters resumed their duties at around 1:30 a.m.
