Downed Live Wire Sparks Roof Fire on Frances Place

Wyckoff, NJ - The Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential incident on Frances Place after a report of a live wire down on a roof was upgraded to include smoke inside the home.
Upon arrival, command observed active fire along the roofline where the wire had fallen, extending along the wire and into a nearby tree. Additional resources were requested to assist and provide coverage.
After utility crews from O&R Electric secured power to the structure, firefighters extinguished the fire and brought the situation under control. Assistance from mutual aid companies supported the operation.
