CHATTAHOOCHEE - On July 20, 2022, at 7:38am Mount Pleasant (MPVFD) Firefighters were dispatched to provide automatic mutual aid to the City of Chattahoochee Fire Department (CFD) for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment at 2530 Hardaway Highway.

Upon arrival personnel found a single vehicle that had struck a tree and overturned with a single occupant in the vehicle. Upon arrival Gadsden County EMS made a request for an LZ and that the helicopter be dispatched. Personnel from CFD along with Gadsden County EMS were able to extricate the occupant. MPVFD personnel arrived and were prepared to assist with extrication if there had been any additional occupants. The City of Gretna Fire Department was dispatched to setup the landing zone and had it established prior EMS advising that they would travel to the hospital by ground. The single occupant was assessed on scene by EMS and transported to the hospital for further treatment.
