Three-Alarm Structure Fire Contained on Adams Street
Lawrence, MA - The Lawrence Firefighters Union - Local 146 reported that multiple companies were dispatched to a structure fire on Adams Street following numerous emergency calls. Upon arrival, crews encountered smoke showing from all floors of the building, prompting the immediate declaration of a working fire, which escalated to a second and third alarm.
Firefighters advanced handlines to the first floor, second floor, and basement, where active fire was present on all levels. Crews conducted an aggressive interior fire attack while simultaneously performing vertical ventilation operations to release heat and smoke from the structure.
The coordinated efforts of all responding units resulted in the fire being brought under control, with crews remaining on scene to complete overhaul operations. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
