Groton Firefighters were dispatched to a fire at the recycling facility on Cow Pond Brook Road. Enroute fire alarm updated the companies that the fire now involved the structure. The call was upgraded to a Working Fire bringing in mutual aid to the fire and to cover. Crews had the main body of fire knocked down in a short amount of time. Companies remained on scene for several hours overhauling and opening up the compactor.
