South Windsor, CT - The South Windsor Fire Department responded to a tractor-trailer rollover on I-291 westbound at the ramp to I-91 northbound.

Crews arrived to find the driver had self-extricated and was evaluated before being transported to a local hospital. Fire personnel secured the scene, assessed hazards, and managed operations around the overturned vehicle.

Due to a fuel spill, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) was requested, which in turn assigned Environmental Services, Inc. to handle spill mitigation prior to vehicle removal. The cargo was identified as non-hazardous bales of trash.

Assistance was provided by Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, supporting operations during the incident.
