Caribou, ME - The Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department responded to a reported fire involving forestry equipment in the woods off East Road in New Sweden.

Upon arrival, crews located the machinery deep in the wooded area, requiring access approximately 800 feet from the roadway. Firefighters deployed UTV 8, equipped with pumping capabilities, to reach the scene where the equipment was found fully involved.

Engine 2 established a water supply to support suppression efforts, with crews utilizing over 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire and bring the incident under control.
