Extended Multi-Agency Operations at Tractor-Trailer Rollover on Route 95

West Greenwich, R.I. — July 15 — The West Greenwich Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 responded to a tractor-trailer rollover on Interstate 95 South near Exit 14 early morning.

Chiefs 201 and 203, Engine 22, Tanker 23 and Ladder 25 responded alongside Lake Mishnock Fire Department Squad 1 and West Greenwich EMS. Due to the crash’s proximity to the town line, Exeter Engine 13 and Exeter EMS were also dispatched to assist.

Rhode Island State Police said the crash was reported around 2:35 a.m. and involved only the tractor-trailer. The driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An oil spill also occurred following the crash, with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management overseeing the cleanup.
