ATKINSON, N.H. — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and Hilldale Avenue in Atkinson.

Atkinson Fire Department was the initial fire and EMS agency dispatched to the scene after early reports indicated a head-on collision involving multiple vehicles and possible injuries. Ambulance 2 and Squad 1 responded, while additional personnel staffed a second ambulance and an engine to support the response.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles with significant damage. Firefighters and EMS personnel evaluated and treated those involved while other personnel addressed hazards at the scene. Two people were transported to area hospitals for further evaluation.

An initial emergency alert indicated that four vehicles may have been involved in the crash. Information provided after crews arrived described two vehicles with significant damage, although it was not immediately clear whether the other reported vehicles were involved or sustained damage.
