This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Caleb Huynh is 14 years old, has cerebral palsy and is from the Atlanta area. He's always wanted to go to the beach and touch the water, so the Make-a-Wish Foundation set his family up at a house in Palm Harbor so they could at least be closer to the water. When Palm Harbor Fire Rescue heard that Caleb was in town, they paid him a visit today. They brought fire trucks to the house, sprayed water, and checked out the apparatus and gear. Next was the beach, a little help from our good friends with a nice beach, Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department stepped up to assist. Palm Harbor fire crews escorted Caleb and his family to Station 45, where they got a tour of the place. Then it was time for an escort to Clearwater Beach, where Station 46 & CFR lifeguards helped arrange a beach wheelchair for him to make it across the sand, and yes, even into the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He and his family were able to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach. Thanks to everyone at our agency and Clearwater Fire & Rescue for making this memorable day possible for Caleb and his family.
