Shirley Ambulance Open HOuse

Shirley, N.Y.- On Sunday June 25th the Shirley Community Ambulance held their annual Open House. EMS members opened up their doors to the community to show off their equipment. Demonstrations were also given on first aid and how to stop bleeding from a serious injury like a gun shot or stabbing through the  Stop The Bleed Program.  Rehab Coordinator Frank Sarno gave tours and information about the Shirley Community Ambulances Rehab unit and its equipment which is used at House fires , Large scale incidents as well as events as needed.  Suffolk Legislator Dominick Thorne who Chairs the Suffolk County Public Safety Committee also stopped by as well and a blood drive was also held which was a success.
