Swift Response Limits Damage in Residential Electrical Fire Incident

Orland, ME - Orland Fire Department responded to a report of a residence filled with smoke following an electrical fire that had reportedly been extinguished prior to arrival. Responding units confirmed moderate smoke conditions, prompting the request for mutual aid.


Firefighters operating in SCBA conducted an interior investigation to ensure no active fire remained. Crews verified the fire was out and proceeded with ventilation using positive pressure fans to remove smoke from the structure.


A resident was evaluated on scene for minor smoke inhalation by Bucksport EMS. Assistance was provided by Bucksport Fire Department for scene support, while Penobscot Fire Department covered the station during the incident. The residence sustained minimal damage and was returned to the occupants.
