Fire Crews Provide Lifesaving Care to Gunshot Victim

Jefferson Hills, PA - Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue crews came upon a medical emergency while traveling on State Route 837 in the City of Clairton, after being flagged down by a male near the intersection with Saint Clair Avenue.
As firefighters made contact, they observed the individual suffering from significant bleeding before collapsing. Crews immediately initiated patient care and quickly identified multiple gunshot wounds, prompting a request for additional resources.
Additional units responded to assist as firefighters continued lifesaving care until EMS arrival, at which time the patient was transported to a trauma center.
