Mutual Aid Crews Assisted During Brush Fire Response

Ludlow, MA. — June 15 — Over the course of the weekend, Ludlow Fire Department firefighters battled to control and put out a deep-seated brush fire brought on by a broken power line. Alongside the Westover Fire Department and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Forest Fire Control, both on-duty and off-duty personnel responded. Until hot spots were completely extinguished, crews stayed on the scene.


No property damage or injuries were reported by officials. The authority advised locals to dispose of smoking materials appropriately and use caution around outdoor fires as the region continues to experience dry weather. The response demonstrated the importance of continued efforts to reduce wildfires and mutual aid.
