Emergency crews responded to a fiery head-on crash at Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) and Sam Turner Road in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on July 7, 2026.

Falmouth Police were initially alerted to the crash at about 6:45 p.m., with additional callers reporting that one of the vehicles had caught fire. Falmouth Fire-Rescue dispatched Engine 6 and Ambulance 6, followed by Engine 5 and Ambulance 5 as additional resources were needed.

Two people were able to get out of the vehicles on their own before being treated by emergency personnel. Firefighters worked for approximately 15 minutes to extinguish the vehicle fire.

Both patients were transported to Falmouth Hospital with injuries of unknown severity. Traffic was significantly affected in the area while firefighters, EMS personnel and police worked at the scene.

Falmouth Police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
