On 7/3/2021, Boston Fire Alarm struck a box near Engine 17's house for a fire on Adams Street in the Dorchester neighborhood. Engine 17 arrived to smoke showing and began an offensive attack. Due to confusion from one of the residents on the street, it was unclear if there were people trapped and a second alarm was struck after Car 7s arrival. The fire was placed under control in about half an hour.
