First Alarm Requested During Investigation at Charlton Senior Living Facility

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On June 10, the Charlton Fire Department arrived at The Overlook in response to a report of an electrical burning smell in the facility's independent living area's kitchen.

To look into the report, Chief 1, Engine 3, and Ambulance 1 showed there. While firefighters scoured the area, residents stayed under cover. Crews have not found any hazards at the time of the update. In order to deploy more off-duty staff to the scene to help with the situation while the investigation was ongoing, a first alarm was sought.
