Springfield Firefighters Responded to Vehicle-Into-Home Crash

Springfield, MA. — June 10 — After a car struck a house at 18 Gillette Ave., Springfield Fire and Emergency Services arrived. During the event, firefighters helped EMS and police, secured the area, and evaluated the structural soundness of the house. Before the property was turned over for more examination, crews also looked for utility concerns.


When responding to vehicle-into-building incidents, firefighters must assess damage to the building and surrounding area while attending to life safety concerns. No further details regarding injuries were disclosed right away. While rescue services finished operations and made sure the situation was safe, the cause of the crash was still being investigated.
