At 5pm on Friday, 7/3/26 the Willimantic Fire Department was dispatched to 411 Valley Street for smoke coming from the basement windows. Ambulance 601 arrived at 5:04 with smoke showing from the Charlie/Delta corner of a 3.5 story wood frame residence. 

Engine 101 stretched a dry 1.75” hose line where they found a couch burning in the basement. Truck 101 positioned on the Alpha/Delta corner and set up a fan for ventilation. Engine 201 hand jacked a supply line from Engine 1 to the hydrant but did not end up needing it. The Willimantic Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
