4-Alarm Fire Contained in Queens Commercial Building

QUEENS, NY - On the morning of June 22nd, FDNY companies responded to box 5368 for a phone alarm reporting fire in a commercial. Battalion 54 transmitted a 10-75. The fire was located on the 2nd floor of a two-story 20x80 flat roof mixed occupancy. During operations, Battalion 54 transmitted the 2nd & 3rd Alarm. Division 13 reported slight extension to the cockloft, the main body of fire knocked down, primary searches completed, 4 lines stretched with three in operation, and secondary searches underway but delayed due to heavy clutter conditions. Field Com transmitted the 4th alarm with 4 lines stretched. Later, Field Com reported three minor injuries. The incident was placed under control in 90 minutes. Units operated under the command of Battalion 54/Division 13.
