Members of the South Hackensack Fire Department were occupied with many special tasks throughout Bergen County on June 30.
According to officials, Engine 401 was tasked with providing emergency support for a regional task force in Carlstadt from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. during the FIFA match. The crew quickly switched to providing standby fire protection for the Fourth of July fireworks display in Hasbrouck Heights after being relieved from the job.
