Wood-Ridge Crews Assisted at Hasbrouck Heights House Fire

Wood-Ridge, N.J. — June 1 — A house fire at 226 Madison Ave. in Hasbrouck Heights prompted the Wood-Ridge Fire Department, located at 85 Humboldt St., to react on mutual aid. Together with local crews, Chief Cribben, Truck 904, and Engine 901 helped with fire suppression and overhaul operations.


Throughout Bergen County, mutual aid agreements enable nearby departments to promptly supply more staff and equipment during active fires, enhancing operational effectiveness and firefighter safety. Until the fire was contained and hot spots were examined, crews stayed on the scene. There were no recorded firefighter injuries. Following the incident, local fire officials continued to investigate the cause of the fire.
