Jason Moore promoted to Battalion Chief at the Seminole County Fire Department

Jason Moore was recently promoted to Battalion Chief at the Seminole County Fire Department (SCFD) in Seminole County, Florida . Moore currently serves as Battalion Chief of Professional Standards and recently oversaw the training of SCFD’s new Probationary Firefighters who recently joined the Department.

Moore is a 20-year veteran of the Department and started his career in Station 27 in Winter Springs and spent 14 years as a Lieutenant – mostly working in Station 12 in Altamonte, which is SCFD’s busiest station. His SCFD mentors include Assistant Chief Jeff Blake, Battalion Chief Bryon Chaney, Retired BC Ed Pando, Retired Lt. Larry Hirt, Retired BC Dan Holder and Retired Lt. Don Green. Moore has been part of the Special Hazards & Operations Team and Tower Team. "I have enjoyed working for the Seminole County Fire Department because it affords tons of opportunity. Being in Special Ops and being around positive, motivated people has been an honor,” said Battalion Chief Jason Moore.

In addition, Moore is a U.S. Army veteran and received his BSHS from Seminole State College as well as his EMT/Fire schooling.
