A fatal accident occurred Sunday July 14 in the afternoon on Malabar Road, directly across from the Palm Bay Municipal Complex. According to a spokesperson from the Palm Bay Police Department, a 37-year-old individual died in a single-vehicle rollover crash. Initial reports indicate there were no signs of reckless or impaired driving; however, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which traveled down an embankment adjacent to a drainage bridge and overturned, becoming partially submerged in water. Divers in dry suits conducted a search of the waterway around the vehicle and bridge to check for additional victims. The incident is currently under investigation and at this time no other information has been released.
